Mechanical Engineer

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and innovative Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing mechanical systems and components. This role requires a strong foundation in engineering principles, creativity in problem-solving, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. The Mechanical Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and performance.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop mechanical systems and components using CAD software.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Utilize Simulink for system modeling and simulation.
  • Apply GD&T principles to ensure accurate specifications and tolerances.
  • Collaborate on system design projects involving logic controllers and mechanical design.
  • Perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to validate designs under various conditions.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards throughout the design process.
  • Work closely with other engineers and stakeholders to integrate mechanical designs into larger systems.
  • Document design processes, test results, and project updates clearly and comprehensively.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proficiency in CAD software for mechanical design (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
  • Experience with MATLAB for data analysis and algorithm development is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of root cause analysis techniques.
  • Familiarity with Simulink for system-level modeling is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of GD&T principles is essential.
  • Experience with logic controllers and system design is a plus.
  • Ability to perform FEA to assess structural integrity under various loads.
  • Understanding of applicable codes and standards in mechanical engineering practices.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment as well as independently.
