Position Overview:We are seeking a highly skilled Control Engineer with expertise in PLC programming, HMI design, and industrial automation systems. The ideal candidate will play a key role in setting up, programming, testing, and implementing automated control systems for manufacturing processes. You will be responsible for troubleshooting complex systems, ensuring proper functionality, and collaborating with teams to optimize equipment and production processes.You will work closely with our engineering and operations teams to troubleshoot, implement improvements, and drive automation projects from concept to execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement PLC and HMI systems for industrial automation projects.Test the systems to ensure they function correctly and process information as expected.
- Provide electrical design, programming, testing, installation, and maintenance of large-scale electronically controlled equipment used in manufacturing.
- Program and configure PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi etc.) and HMI systems.
- Perform troubleshooting, maintenance, and optimization of existing control systems.
- Work with our engineering team to develop electrical, instrumentation and controls products and systems to satisfy unique customer specifications, contracts, and new business development
- Provide technical support and training to production teams and maintenance personnel.
- Document control system designs, specifications, and test procedures.
- Perform system testing, validation, and commissioning for new installations.
- Assist with troubleshooting and resolving system failures to minimize downtime.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in industrial automation.
- Document system designs, programming details, and troubleshooting efforts, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in control engineering, with a focus on PLC programming, HMI design, and industrial automation systems.
- Hands-on experience with PLC platforms (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.), HMI software, and SCADA systems.
- Strong understanding of control system theory, automation processes, and industrial machinery.
- Experience with control system design, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and process flow diagrams.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations in industrial environments.
- Experience with SCADA and DCS systems is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with motion control systems, robotics, and/or vision systems.
- Familiarity with industrial networking protocols (Ethernet/IP, Profibus, etc.).
