Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and innovative Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing mechanical systems and components. This role requires a strong foundation in engineering principles, creativity in problem-solving, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. The Mechanical Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and performance.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical systems and components using CAD software.
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
- Utilize Simulink for system modeling and simulation.
- Apply GD&T principles to ensure accurate specifications and tolerances.
- Collaborate on system design projects involving logic controllers and mechanical design.
- Perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to validate designs under various conditions.
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards throughout the design process.
- Work closely with other engineers and stakeholders to integrate mechanical designs into larger systems.
- Document design processes, test results, and project updates clearly and comprehensively.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency in CAD software for mechanical design (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
- Experience with MATLAB for data analysis and algorithm development is preferred.
- Strong understanding of root cause analysis techniques.
- Familiarity with Simulink for system-level modeling is advantageous.
- Knowledge of GD&T principles is essential.
- Experience with logic controllers and system design is a plus.
- Ability to perform FEA to assess structural integrity under various loads.
- Understanding of applicable codes and standards in mechanical engineering practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment as well as independently.
